We’re going on a house hunting trip to NJ soon. Right now it seems rather fuzzy. We’re set up with a recommended agent, and moving to a somewhat familiar area.
But until you get out there and start looking (beyond the Internet) it feels more conceptual than actual. This week I’m focusing on researching the schools in the area, which is not a simple task as the budgets have been politically shook up in reaction to rather high property taxes state-wide.
I can make any house work for me (within reason, of course!) – but the schools drive much of our location decision. Once I get a handle on the schools, I’m trusting the rest will fall into place. I hope I’m not over-simplifying it!
