Our house was officially listed today. It looked so nice in the MLS that I felt a twinge of sadness about moving.
Then came time to put a lockbox on the door. I was so proud of myself for being able to find the key to the front door since we (like many others) never use that door.
There’s something symbolic about a lockbox being placed on your front door. And it didn’t hit me until I actually saw it. But now that it’s out there, that means strangers will now have access to my home.
My home.
No…it suddenly doesn’t feel like my “home” but rather it’s now a “product” to sell.
Wonder how I’m going to feel when the sign goes up!
