Can Taxidermy Sell a Home?

I think this one goes without saying.

Which is worse:

  • The bear
  • The deer heads
  • The guns
  • The Cowboy Cutout
  • The vintage barber chairs
  • The blinds
  • The carpeting
  • The clutter

Or, are you too afraid of this homeowner to say anything but “wow, very interesting home!” šŸ˜‰

Yea…he scares me a bit too! Don’t think this is a client I’d like to stage for!

  1. Does the bear have another skinned animal laying on it’s back???
    wow….I think is all I can say….

  2. Oh my…. looks like another uneventful home search… Well unless you are counting the stuffed critters now that is an event in itself…

  3. lol – we didn’t look at this home…to creeped out! I’m sure it’s a diamond in the rough for someone…else!

And yes, it looks like the bear is sporting a wild snuggie šŸ˜‰

  4. Hi – I just love these images!! For the life of me, I do not understand why a seller (or the realtor who is marketing the property) would show the world their home with deer heads etc. I don’t get it at all.

When you are selling your home, you want the buyer to imagine themselves relaxing in your home – and being in those rooms would make me nervous – so any buyer walking in would feel the same. Not a buyer magnet – these rooms repel buyers.

In my last post in the Uninvited Stager series that I do – I featured a home that had a great kitchen – but then you went further into the home and there were 3 or 4 deer heads on the wall. That ruined it for me!

    Great post. Love your blog!
